Where are we?

How do I join Ad2?

You must be a member of the DC Ad Club in order to join Ad2. If you are already a member of the DC Ad Club and you are 32 or younger, you are already a member of Ad2! If you aren’t affiliated with the DC Ad Club yet, click here for the application and send it along with a check for your discounted membership dues to:

What kind of member benefits do I get?

As an Ad2 DC member, you’ll get exclusive invitations and discounted pricing for all Ad2 events. You’ll have the opportunity to meet people in your industry, network and learn more about the advertising community. There are also regular professional development sessions for young professionals and students.

How many members does Ad2 DC have?

As some members age out and new members join, our membership fluctuates between XX to XX people.

Why should I join Ad2?

Ad2 is an incredible opportunity to get involved in the advertising industry. Not only is joining Ad2 great for your professional development and career, it gives you the opportunity to meet tons of new people that are both in your age group and in your field.

Education – Programs targeted specifically to the educational needs of young professionals.

Leadership – A broad array of committee management and Board of Director opportunities are available to help prepare you to be a leader in your own organization. 

Networking – As an Ad2 member, you are given the unique opportunity of being able to network with peers that share your same needs and interests.

Public Service – One of Ad2’s most regarded involvement opportunities comes from its unyielding commitment to public service. Members can take part in planning and implementation of a comprehensive advertising campaign for a worthy nonprofit organization at no cost to the client. The experience affords members the chance to acquire valuable industry experience while contributing to a worthwhile cause.

How does Ad2 help our DC community?

Ad2 has a Public Service campaign that selects a non-profit organization to whom they provide a year of advertising services at no cost to the client. Ad2 chapters across the country traditionally create a fully-integrated marketing campaign, which includes TV and radio spots, print and outdoor ads, public relationship and media relations, brochures and newsletters, websites and media placements via PSA.

What type of programs does Ad2 offer?

Educational events may include anything from speakers on business strategies, how to give a professional presentation, local directors of brand management, local creative directors, and many more.

How much does it cost to attend Ad2 programs?

In most cases programs are free for members and $5 for non-members. This may vary depending on the program. Ad2 social events and happy hours are typically free for all and don’t require registration.

How often does A2 have an educational program or social event?

Ad2 tries to have at least one event every month, with educational programs and socials alternating bi-monthly.

How do I sign up to attend an Ad2 program?

Make sure you join the Ad2 email list. You don’t have to be a member to get exclusive updates and event notifications, but of course it’s cheaper an easier if you are a member. You’ll receive emails from Ad2 with information on programs and instructions on how to RSVP for the. All programs require an RSVP to info@ad2dc.org, some programs may require you to register before entering. You can usually do this ahead of time at dcadclub.com for a discounted price.

How can Ad2 enhance or further develop my skills set?

Ad2 offers a variety of opportunities to expand your knowledge. We have several committees for our members to get involved with and learn leadership skills. So whether you are in account service, marketing, creative or media purchasing we have something for you to get involved with and learn.

How can I use my skills and develop new ones by getting involved with the Public Service campaign?

Are you an account person who wants to give copywriting a try? The Public Serve Campaign provides the perfect opportunity for young professionals to exercise their skills in other areas. Personal development and a worthy cause allows members to expand their skill sets and make a positive impact on their community.
